GallaherAdam/Ecovoltaics-CONUS: Crop vs non-crop analysis in Python (USDA CDL)
Description
This code is designed to clean up and process United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Cropland Data Layer (CDL) data for a given study area (e.g., CONUS) based on user selected crop types (i.e., CDL pixel values). This code was developed for a spatial evaluation of corn grown for ethanol production and the potential for those energy landscapes to be converted to solar energy to enhance ecosystem services of the land. Findings from this research are published in PNAS.
