Enhancing the mathematician user experience: Populate metadata in the European Open Science Cloud
Authors/Creators
Description
This poster explores strategies to improve the usability and accessibility of mathematical research within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) by focusing on high-quality metadata enrichment. Mathematicians often face challenges in discovering, sharing, and reusing research outputs due to sparse or inconsistent metadata.
Key aspects include:
-
Integration with existing platforms (zbMATH, swMATH) supported in MaRDI, enhancing metadata interoperability and resource sharing with PIDGraph (DataCite), RDGraph (OpenAIRE), and RSAC (Software Heritage).
-
Software long-term preservation through the RSAC–swMATH subcomponent.
-
Incorporation of specialized services like the MSCR (Metadata Schemas and Crosswalks Registry) and the PIDMR (PID MetaResolver) to support identifiers and metadata crosswalks.
-
Mathematical knowledge graph integration within the DTR (Data Type Registry).
