This study examines the current practices in talent cultivation for rehabilitation therapy at Pingdingshan University, analyzing aspects such as training objectives, student management, curriculum design, pedagogical reforms, practical teaching, evaluation systems, and faculty development. Building on this analysis, the study proposes initiatives to advance the specialization of rehabilitation therapy programs, continuously optimize the curriculum system, strengthen community-based rehabilitation practice, deepen school-enterprise collaboration, and explore new models for international cooperative education. The findings aim to provide practical insights and innovative strategies for enhancing rehabilitation therapy talent development, thereby offering robust human resource support to address the rehabilitation needs of an ageing society.
