"AI-Enhanced Insights into Eco-linguistic Gendered Language in 'Magbangal': Analyzing Bukidnon's Cultural and Ecological Narratives"

Description

This study examines eco-linguistic gendered language in the Bukidnon literary text "Magbangal," analyzing its impact on gender roles. Using categories like Gendered Pronouns, Stereotype Language, and Roles, it reveals that Pronouns are most prevalent (62%), with PROD_MALE and REPRO_FEM consistently employed, reinforcing traditional norms. Gendered Roles (23%) depict men as providers (PROD_MALE) and women in domestic roles (REPRO_FEM). Stereotype Language (15%) associates strength (PROD_MALE, GENDER_HIER) and nurturing (REPRO_FEM) with genders. The analysis highlights a gender dichotomy, reflecting cultural narratives. Moser's Triple Roles framework reveals an absence of community labor representation. This research aligns with UNESCO’s SDGs on gender equality, showing how language shapes cultural expectations. AI-enhanced eco-linguistic analysis of "Magbangal" illuminates the intricate relationship between language, culture, and gender in the Bukidnon community, demonstrating how linguistic features reinforce traditional gender roles and contribute to critical discourse on cultural and ecological themes.
