Creators
Description
The study explored the relationship between African philosophers and their contribution, focusing on Nigeria political philosopher Nnamdi Azikiwe and his contribution in neo-welfarism. He made a comparison between capitalism, welfarism, neo-welfarism, and he sought to ascertain the most relevant democratic models suitable for Nigeria politics. He proposes an ideology “neo-welfarism” for Africa, Nigeria in particular where the state need to monitors, manage and directs the economic affairs for the welfare of each individual of the state, where there will be fair and equitable distribution of the country’s goods among the citizens and avoid the situation whereby some citizens will be extremely rich and others will be extremely poor.
