THE ROLE OF PEDAGOGICAL DIAGNOSTICS IN TEACHING ENGLISH WRITING

Description

The importance of pedagogical diagnostics in enhancing English writing instruction, especially in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) contexts, is examined in this article. It looks at the theoretical foundations of pedagogical diagnostics, how it can be used practically to determine students' English writing strengths and weaknesses, and how it can help guide specific teaching tactics. The use of diagnostic tools and procedures, such as mistake analysis, writing examples, and feedback systems, to improve the efficacy of English writing teaching is also covered in the article. It also emphasizes how data-driven strategies and learning analytics can be combined to tailor instruction and support students' performance in English writing.
