Taking an Impression of an open Orbit with a Hole Continues until Pharynx in Postoperative after Exenteration for making Artificial Orbital Prostheses.
Description
Exenteration is the most radical of the three procedures (evisceration, enucleation, exentration).
Exenteration is indicated mainly for large orbital tumors or orbital extension of intraocular tumors. Exenteration may be total the removal of all orbital contents or lid sparing and sometimes a hole continues until pharynx if the tumor is placed posteriorly.
In some cases skin grafting is necessary to close the wound. In this case we can taking an impression from orbit If not in some cases we face with a hole sometimes continues until pharynx we can stick organzine net or lifting net on the hole of orbit and then take an impression from orbit for preventing to enter impression materials as alginate, silicone or...in hole of orbit, sinuous, or pharynx.
