Analysis and optimization of a distributed propulsion system for a regional transport aircraft

AIRBUS, dedicated partner to the HERA project,  prepared and presented the work conducted on "Analysis and optimization of a distributed propulsion system for a regional transport aircraft" at the ECCOMASS conference (https://www.eccomas.org/2022/06/16/eccomas-congress-2024-announcement/). The presentation includes results related to the HERA project.  They include an analysis and an optimization tool for aircraft design, and so far, they have been successfully coupled with a mid-fidelity aerodynamic solver, the DUST. The attached file is a presentation of these preliminary results, where the above-mentioned tool has been used to maximize the efficiency of a wing by modifying its shape and the position of the propellers along the span.
