Release Notes - v2.0 (January 24, 2025)

1. Independent Control of Film Properties

  • You can now specify a separate density for the film, distinct from that of the drop
  • Surface tension at the film-air interface is independently configurable from the drop-air interface

2. Revised Default Parameters

  • Improved default values for simulation end time, maximum refinement level, and dimensionless groups (We, Ohd, Bo, and Ohf)

3. Modified Adaptation Schemes

  • omega-based adaptation removed due to incompatibility with new Basilisk axisymmetric modules
  • adapt_wavelet_limited removed for the newest Basilisk version. Refer to the link in the README for an alternative implementation

4. Updated Boundary Conditions

  • dirichlet(...) now replaces direct assignment at domain boundaries, improving accuracy at limited resolutions

5. Compatibility Script

  • New reset_install_requirements.sh script ensures the code can be rebuilt with the latest Basilisk updates
