Data associated with the paper "The PLATO field selection process. II. Characterization of LOPS2, the first long-pointing field", accepted for publication in Astronomy and Astrophysics on January 11, 2025:
a) lops2_confirmed_transiting_planets.fits: table with the confirmed transiting planets in LOPS2. See Section 3.4.1 of the paper.
b) lops2_tess_candidates.fits: table with the TOI candidates in LOPS2, disposition keyword: PC, APC or CP; 2024-08-20 release. See Section 3.4.2 of the paper.
c) lops2_footprints_moc.zip: IVOA-compliant Multi-Order Coverage (MOC) footprints of LOPS2, both for the whole field and for its 6, 12, 18, 24 NCAMs subregions. See Appendix A of the paper.
d) lops2_healpix9_footprint.fits: HEALPix level-9 grid from which the MOC regions were extracted; the ncam column contains the number of NCAMs pointed towards that line of sight. See Appendix A of the paper.
e) lops2_hpix9_skeleton.fits: HEALPix level-9 grid with a "skeletonized" version of LOPS2, i.e., with only the boundaries between regions with different NCAM coverage; for plotting purposes.
