Description

This deliverable presents very flexible and dynamically repurposable future material handling, smart transportation vehicles and offloading of the PLC control function to the edge production use cases for realising the Industry 4.0 factory of the future vision. The technology mix of interest that is applied includes near infrared Optical Wireless Communications, cell-free 6G networks and combined time of arrival, received signal strength and angle of arrival localisation with sub cm accuracy, supporting a low total cost of ownership and resilience to eavesdropping, sniffing and snooping cyber-attacks. Finally, we identify and specify the user, functional and technical requirements for the 6G system to provide the KPIs and KVIs required in those use cases.
