GDI: D7.5 - Report to identify the initial set of recommendations for addressing use cases

Description
WP7 “GDI use cases” is a key component of Pillar III in the GDI project, focusing on identifying user needs and driving the implementation of solutions through a series of use cases. These use cases focus on cancer research, infectious diseases, and population genomics (Genome of Europe), while also building on the experiences from 1+MG/B1MG use cases. WP7’s primary goal is to ensure these use cases align with the technological requirements of GDI, enabling seamless integration across various domains.
This deliverable provides recommendations for addressing these use cases, which are essential for understanding user interactions and narratives. This alignment ensures that Pillars I, II, and III are in sync with user needs, helping design the GDI infrastructure effectively. Understanding service and system requirements in advance is critical to delivering an efficient solution.
Defining user journeys and user stories will help to provide a comprehensive overview of the GDI’s functionalities and user interactions. Although this effort is still ongoing, 10 user journeys have been identified and documented, serving as a foundation for two initial user stories. The main objective of the current work is to align the prototypical questions of the use cases with the actual user experience described in the user journeys. This cross-validation has resulted in the identification of additional user stories derived from the user journeys associated with each use case. By detailing the required functionalities for each use case, gaps in the GDI infrastructure have been uncovered that could feed recommendations to Pillar II.
