Description
The Resilience Engineering Association (REA) celebrates the 20th anniversary of the creation of Resilience Engineering, as a field of theory and practice, by strategically reflecting on progress made, challenges and future opportunities.
To this end, the Resilience Engineering Association will publish a book that will collect contributions on progress and challenges and opportunities in the future opprtunities for developing and applying Resilience Engineering.
Because of contributions form diverse people to Resilience Engineering, REA invited individuals to send a brief summary to be considered as a contributor to the book.
Based on these contributions REA invited a small group of people, “think tank” style gathering in Porto. Contributions include views on 1- progress on a variate of fronts foundational, conceptual, tools, pragmatics, 2 - challenges RE faces moving forward and 3 opportunities how RE contribute to the future.
This report summarises discussions at the Porto meeting.
