Description

This repository contains the python code and processed data to reproduce analysis and figures from Rühs et al. (2024, Ocean Science): "Non-negligible impact of Stokes drift and wave-driven Eulerian currents on simulated surface particle dispersal in the Mediterranean Sea".

To reproduce the whole analysis, including the calculations of the trajectories, the following needs to be downloaded/included into a local working directory:

Additionally, the OceanParcels package, available via https://github.com/OceanParcels/parcels or https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/parcels needs to be installed in the python working environment. Then, the scripts in the code directory can be executed to re-run the trajectory simulations and analysis. Alternatively, the output in forms of figures and processed data can be accesed directly in the respective sub-directories.
