Harpactophilus Kohl, 1897: 276. Emendation of Arpactophilus Smith, 1863.
Austrostigmus Turner, 1912: 55. Type species: Austrostigmus queenslandensis Turner, 1908 [= Stigmus queenslandensis Turner, 1908], by original designation. Synonymized with Arpactophilus by Bohart in Bohart and Menke, 1976: 41 and 186.
