Artificial Intelligence and Research Work

These are the slides used in the training event "AI and Research Work" at Aalto University 4/November/2024. There is also the previous version from 10/October/2023 and from 11/March/2024 stored here on Zenodo.
The discussion is arranged around the following main themes:

• A short introduction to LLMs and generative AI
• Practical cases of use generative AI in the research project lifecycle: brainstorming and planning, data analysis (software and code), publishing
• Responsible use of generative AI, ethical, legal, and cybersecurity considerations
• Advanced uses of generative AI (in-context learning, RAG, ...)
