THE FUNCTION OF ARTISTIC DETAIL IN THE STORIES OF A.P. CHEKHOV

This article, firstly, will allow us to thoroughly study the work of the great Russian writer A.P. Chekhov, and secondly, will help to reveal the functions of artistic details through his stories. Thirdly, in the stories of A.P. Chekhov we can see not only lexical features and style of the text, but also certain details that give the work a special character, which play a very important role in his stories.

It should also be noted that the use of such subtlety in the stories of A.P. Chekhov indicates some feature of the hero or his behavior, since such details teach us not only to analyze life, but also to know the human psyche through details.
