Investigation of the Impact of Rotation on Intermediate Stars
Contributors
Description
The rotation of stars is believed to significantly affect the dynamics of convective eddies and the efficiency of convective energy transport within their deep convection zones. To explore this phenomenon, we have integrated the f-plane approximation into Antares, a numerical simulation tool for stellar convection, and performed 3-D simulations of different types of intermediate stars with a range of rotation rates. Our objective is to investigate the influence of rotation on the characteristics of stellar convection and determine whether this impact varies based on the stellar type.
