Caucasus: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia [ssp. patulum (Vachal, 1905)]. – North Africa, southern and locally Central Europe [nominative subspecies]; southeastern Europe, Russia (Crimea, south of the European part), Caucasus, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia [ssp. patulum (Vachal, 1905)].
