Description

Total genomic DNA was extracted from 422 individuals belonging to 202 morphospecies; for 143 species we were able to obtain good-quality sequences of at least one of the two employed molecular markers, while for the remaining 78 species, even when PCRs gave amplification success, the sequence was not readable or of poor quality. The sequencing success of the amplified bands ranged between 64.6 and 85.4% per plate (average value: 74.8 ± 8.8%). All sequences obtained were uploaded to BOLD within the project “MAPWORMS – Mimicking Adaptations and Plasticity in WORMS”, under embargo until the planned publication of the checklist, expected for 2025.
