This map shows the extent of British Army regimental recruiting areas on the island of Ireland. This map is a reproduction of a recruitment poster released by the British authorities circa 1914-1915. Copies of this poster available at the following link. This map was creating using a geocomputational approach using the programming language R and is available as a ESRI Shapefile and GeoPackage (GPKG). Future updates will also include the regimental recruiting areas in England, Scotland and Wales.
