Step-by-Step Guide to National Energy System Modelling with OSeMOSYS

This repository provides a step-by-step guide for creating a fully functional OSeMOSYS model of a country. The project aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of how to perform national energy system modelling using a free and open-source energy planning tool. By following and developing the seven proposed hands-on exercises, students will be able to design a baseline energy system model for scenario analysis in the context of sustainable development and decarbonization. This material was previously part of an Energy System Analysis course in an Electrical Engineering Master's program, proving to be a valuable resource for developing university classes, application cases, and research projects.
