Assessment of the Challenges and Disparities Circumstances of Tea Garden Workers of Bangladesh

Bangladesh, renowned for its thriving tea industry, relies heavily on the labor and contributions of tea workers. The socioeconomic conditions of these workers in a different sociolinguistic setting have been a subject of concern due to their vulnerability to various challenges and inequalities. This paper aims to investigate and analyze the socioeconomic circumstances of Bangladeshi tea estate workers, shedding light on their living standards, income levels, access to basic amenities, and overall quality of life. The primary purpose of this research is to assess the income levels and financial stability of tea workers. Additionally, the study will examine the provision of social security benefits, including healthcare, housing, and education focusing a theory of Marxism. Furthermore, the research will delve into the working conditions and labor rights of tea workers. The study will analyze aspects such as occupational safety, availability to drinking water and facilities for sanitation, and adherence to labor laws and regulations. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing literature on labor and socioeconomic conditions at their sociolinguistic context in Bangladesh and provide valuable insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and organizations involved in the welfare of tea workers. It is hoped that the study will serve as a foundation for developing targeted interventions and policy reforms aimed at improving the overall well-being and livelihoods of tea workers in Bangladesh.
