Maira nychthemera Wulp, 1872

Maira nychthemera Wulp, 1872: 208. Type locality: Indonesia (Java; Sulawesi) [Syntypes ♂, ♀, RMNH].

World distribution: Borneo, Indonesia [not India] (Wulp 1872: 210; Oldroyd 1975: 114).

Note: No specimen base to confirm distribution in India. The species is excluded from the Indian fauna based on the conclusion of Oldroyd (1975: 114) that existing Indian records were based solely on the speculation by Lal (1960: 67).
