Scholarly Usage and Impact Vocabularies Glossary and Crosswalk

This data workbook was produced for the "EAGER: Secure Research Impact Metric Data Exchange: Data Supply Chain" project funded by The National Science Foundation (Award # 2335827). The file provides a glossary and crosswalk of key terms related to usage and impact, along with related sources and notes.

Key terms is an operative phrase; the data represents a curated collection of existing definitions from scholarly communications and related resources for a spectrum of stakeholders with an interest in (or reliance on) usage and impact of the broad range of scholarly research outputs. This resource aims to help users navigate the scholarly usage and impact landscape.

In addition to the resources from which these definitions were sourced, this work benefited from the time and expertise of those who were interviewed about usage and impact and those who reviewed the draft as part of this project.
