MANIPULARE PRIN TRANSGRESAREA NORMEI LITERARE

Summary. The current political discourse, especially the one promoted on social networks,
is characterized by various informal aspects, including the use of colloquial-familiar language,
regional/substandard forms of expression and other elements specific to populist communication.
Samples of non-standard expression used in the cycle of posts entitled «The President replies» are
examined, such as slang, pronunciation in a regional manner, the use of russianisms, slang elements,
transgression of personal names. This language is intended to give credibility to the idea that there is
a ‘Moldovan language’ which is different from Romanian.
