Description
This study is focused on seitan as a meat alternative, which is also called 'wheat meat', as the researchers found that it is one of the unpopular meat substitutes in the Philippines. This study used the quantitative method with fifty (50) respondents to yield more reliable results. The targeted respondents are sixteen (16) years of age and older and are members of the vegan/vegetarian groups on the social media platform Facebook. Through the knowledge and experiences of the respondents, the researchers looked forward to a result that favors the existence of seitan in the Filipino market and diet through this research. This study is also one of the few research studies about seitan, which is also why the researchers decided to pursue this study, with a goal to introduce and gain perspective towards the consumers’ perceptions towards the said meat alternative.
