Ecology: annual herb primarily in the wet tropical biome (POWO 2023).
Distribution: Lebanon-Syria, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam (POWO 2023).
Specimens examined: Timor Leste: Bobonaro, [Balibo, 8°58’08” S, 125°02’26” E], 7 February 2005, Paiva, J., Silveira, P. & Sousa, A. J. T 353 (COI, L [L.2222044]).
