Comparison of the seeds of Euphorbia exigua var. exigua (e) and E. exigua var. pycnophylla (p) which essentially show no morphological differences in size, colour, outline shape and texture of the testa, hence no clear distinction can be made between the two forms. Seeds had the size of (0.9) 1.0–1.2 (1.3) × 0.6–0.8 mm [n=110] without any bias towards any of the two forms (mean size of var. exigua: 1.08 × 0.71 mm [n=60]; var. pycnophylla 1.08 × 0.75 mm [n=50]).
