Description
5. Eugenia fernandopoana Engler & Brehmer (1917: 377).
Type:— EQUATORIAL GUINEA. Bioko [Fernando Pó]. Bokoko, 14 km north of Punta de Sagre, October 1911, J. Mildbraed 6921 (holotype B†; isotypes HBG! [HBG509271, HBG509272]).
Distribution:—In Congo (Brazzaville) it was only collected in Kouilou department. The species is also distributed in Cameroon, theDemocratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Angola.
Habitat and ecology:— Littoral forests; elevation 0 ‒ 10 m.
Specimens examined:— Kouilou. 25 km N de Pointe Noire, 24 July 1985 (fl.), G. Cusset 1538 (P! [P05258980]).
