33. Caroxylon exalatum (Botsch.) Mucina comb. nov.
Basionym: ― Salsola exalata Botsch. in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 9: 149 (1972).
Type: ― SOUTH AFRICA. Orange Free State [Free State Prov.]: Fauresmith Dist., Rosemarie, Brak Farm near Luckhoff, 28 October 1935, Verdoorn 1599 (holotype K-000243989!; isotypes LE, PRE-0375484-0!).
Distribution: ― Namibia? (Botschantzev 1974a); South Africa (FS, NC): Griqualand West, western Free State.
