Terrestrial herbs. Distribution in PILA 1100–1700 m, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest, mixed forest in transition to cloud forest. Global distribution: Mexico to Argentina. Records: D. Santamaría 4415 (INB).
ε -PILA Brachionidium calypso Luer
Epiphytic herbs. Distribution in PILA 2200– 2200 m, low elevation oak forest. Global distribution: Endemic to Panama. Records: R. Dressler 5838 (MO).
