Heterostemma sinicum Tsiang (1936: 190)
TYPE:— CHINA, Hainan, Boting, 24 June 1935, F.C. How 72982 (holotype SYS, n.v., isotype A [A00016232], IBK [IBK 00097647, IBK 00097648])
Notes: — Tsiang (1936: 122) noted that the type specimens for the new species by him described are deposited at the herbarium of the Botanical Institute, Sun Yatsen University, (SYS) unless otherwise indicated. I have not been able to locate the holotype of H. sinicum at SYS, and in case it is missing [A00016232] is to be intended as a lectotype under Art. 9.9 of the ICN (McNeill et al. 2012). The two duplicates at IBK [IBK 00097647, IBK 00097648] are sterile and therefore not the preferred specimens for the selection of a lectotype.
