Vernacular: ndesi (Uab Meto).
Habit: perennial herbs to shrubs (to 2 m).
Habitat: lowland, to 25 m elevation.
Distribution: Indonesia (Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, Timor Barat) and New Guinea.
Collection: Timor Barat: Desa Hansisi, P. Semau, Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Hidayat 109, 31 Dec 1995 (L).
