TORSIONAL STRENGTH OF REINFORCED CONCRETE ELEMENTS WITH NORMAL CRACKS

Description

A method for determining the torsional strength of a cross-section of a reinforced concrete element in the presence of normal cracks is presented. Stresses from pure torsion and from shear during rotation relative to the center of rigidity are taken into account. The technique makes it possible to determine the boundary value of the dowel force in reinforcement without involving the conditions of deformation in this reinforcement.
