Research with Photons - Light for the Future, German Committee for Research with Synchrotron Radiation

The German Committee for Research with Synchrotron Radiation (KFS) has published this brochure to illustrate the benefits of research with synchrotron radiation and to make recommendations for the future of the research field in Germany. As an elected interest group, the KFS represents more than 4000 users of synchrotron radiation sources in Germany and at international institutions with German participation. They all conduct research in areas such as energy, the environment, health and information. Fundamental findings are also a driving force for innovation in industry. This brochure is a component of the BMBF strategy process in the framework programme "Exploring the Universe and Matter" (ErUM).
