Description
This deliverable focuses on strategies to address critical challenges to effective science-society relations, including misinformation and trust. In this deliverable, we provide an overview of approaches present in the field of science communication that nurture open and constructive science-society relationships. Specifically, we zoom in on approaches to navigate dis- and misinformation that support trust between science and society.
To this end, this report addresses three overall objectives:
-
Reporting on the state of art academic and practitioner insights on (navigating) dis- and misinformation, and maintaining trust in science.
-
Mapping science-society resources and tools (e.g. apps, widgets, guidelines, engagement formats) that support the navigation of dis- and misinformation and maintain trust in science.
-
Proposing sustainable strategies for navigating dis- and misinformation and maintaining trust that the European Competence Centre for Science Communication will build on.
