Distribution.

This is the first record of the species from Namibia, otherwise being recorded from Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia and Uganda, (as. Nilodorum brevipalpis (Kieffer, 1918)) (Freeman 1956; Freeman and Cranston 1980; Curtis 1991; Martin 1999).
