OASEES - Data Federation and Trust - D2.3

To design the overall structure of the "OASEES Ecosystem," we are examining the state-of-the-art (SOTA) work in this field. Specifically, we are analysing the architectures proposed by the International Data Spaces Association (IDS) and GAIA-X, as they share a common goal with OASEES—to facilitate secure data exchange and trusted data sharing. We will also delve into the CSA OpenDei Reference Architecture Framework for cross-domain Digital Transformation. This framework is relevant because its three layers (field level, edge level, and cloud level Data Spaces) align well with OASEES's envisioned core, fog, and edge cloud infrastructure for data acquisition, processing, and use. Additionally, the framework's orthogonal dimensions, characterized by Trust and Security, Data Sharing, and Data Trading, are in line with OASEES's objectives.
