Publicly accessible institutions of culture in middle urals: socio-statistical analysis

The article revises the contemporary status of publicly accessible institutions of culture in Middle Urals and in Sverdlovsk region in particular. The author pays special attention to three types of institutions of culture: public libraries, cinemas and cultural-recreational institutions. The author comes to the conclusion about gradual degradation of the sphere of culture in the Urals province, which is proved by social-statistical analysis.
