The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to develop a guide that makes it possible to protect a
Linux system against the types of attack presented. The tools
tools used are presented and then it is shown which attacks can be directed against the
the Linux system and how to protect against them. Furthermore
general defensive measures in networks are explained and special security mechanisms and
security mechanisms and security patches. The following section
how a Linux computer can be hardened against attacks using inexpensive means.
The bachelor thesis will concentrate exclusively on the attacks and defense mechanisms presented here.
and defense mechanisms presented here, since an even more detailed elaboration would
would have exceeded the scope of the bachelor thesis by far.
