Trachysomus thomsoni reared as Aiello lot 1989-10 and its plant host Eugenia venezuelensis. 1–2) Adult female individual No. 4; 3) Girdled end of trunk showing uncut core; 4–5) Girdled trunk with three branch bases (arrow points to girdled end); 6) Cut branch showing crescent-shaped tunnel excavated by larva.
