Common name: Kashmir Tortoiseshell.

Distribution: Kashmir (Lang, 1868; Moore, 1874; Ruhl, 1893; Bingham, 1905; Fruhstorfer, 1912; D’Abrera, 1992; Varshney & Smetacek, 2015; Kehimkar, 2016; Smetacek, 2018; Gasse, 2018); Zoji La (Vis & Coene, 1987; Hanus et al., 1988); Kupwara district (Qureshi et al., 2013-A); Gulmarg, Baramulla district (Qureshi et al., 2013-B); Dachigam N.P. (Qureshi et al., 2014); Pahalgam, Anantnag(Kashmir south) district; Srinagar; Bhaderwah, Doda district; Herman Shopian, Shopian district (Valappil & Kunte, 2020); BGSBU, Rajouri district (Taslima Sheikh, Recent record).
