Description
Enoclerus rio OPITZ nov.sp. (Figs 51, 101)
T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Brazil, Papurucuara am, Rio Negro, Amazonas, 4-II-1963, C. Lindemann (RGCM). Paratype: 1 specimen. BRAZIL: Estado do Amazonas; Papurucuara, Rio Negro,?-4-1963, C. Lindemann (WOPC, 1).
D i a g n o s i s: Antennae and legs testaceous; elytra with three yellow markings. D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 4.0 mm; width 0.8 mm. Form: As in Fig. 51. Head: (EW/FW 1.8/30). Thorax: Subapical depression well defined; pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate; (PL/PW-70/70); (EL/EW 180/40). Abdomen: Aedeagus (Fig. 101).
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, rio, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
