Description

7.3. Cephisella nilotica (KOCH 1934); nov.comb.

Medon niloticus KOCH 1934: 217 f.

C o m m e n t: The original description is based on an unspecified number of syntypes from "Kirdassah", "Sakkarah", and "Pyramiden von Ghizeh" (KOCH 1934). BORDONI (1980b) studied a male from Kirdassah, figured the aedeagus, and moved the species to Sunius. However, the illustration suggests that the species does not refer to Sunius, but to Cephisella FAGEL 1961.
