Glanders And Its Recent Outbreaks: What One Should Know

Amid water crisis, Bengaluru, the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ has witnessed the perilous fallout of glanders, a fatal zoonotic disease primarily of solipeds. As per reports, while conducting routine exercise of collecting and assessing blood, two horses tested positive for glanders. One of them succumbed to the incurable malady while the other was euthanized as per protocols.
