The influence of the angle of attack on the efficiency of supersonic microturbines rotors

Description
The article presents the results of a study of rotor wheel microturbines. The feature of the rotor wheels under consideration is the high angle of rotation of the flowing part (150°..165°), which is consistent with the small angles of the output of the flow from the nozzles (5°..9°) necessary to obtain a high torque on the rotor. The results of the research on the effectiveness of the rotor wheels depending on the angle of attack have been demonstrated. There has been carried out an analysis of the physical processes occurring in the flow of the rotor wheels. Optimisation calculations have been made to determine the angle of attack corresponding to the maximum possible efficiency of the rotor wheels. The recommendations for the selection of the angle of attack for the rotor wheels of microturbines are offered.
