Social Media and Workplace Productivity: An Organizational Perspective
Description
Social media platforms have become ubiquitous in the modern world, influencing various aspects of human life, including work. However, the effects of social media use on workplace productivity are poorly understood. This review paper analyses the existing literature on how social media impacts employee performance, organisational communication, collaboration, and workplace culture. The paper also discusses the challenges and opportunities that social media presents for organizations and provides recommendations for achieving an optimal balance between social media benefits and productivity costs.
