One of the most leisure time activities among adolescents is spending time on social media. Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, WeChat, Telegram and Snapchat are popular social media that have become an important part of adolescents’ daily lives. There is no doubt that social media has transformed the world we live in. Social media services allow users to connect with people globally. It provides instant information, news and entertainment. Social media is a double-edged sword for young adolescents. On one hand, it is a medium for sharing thoughts and getting social support. On the flip side, an increasing amount of social media usage puts them at high risk for issues linked to their sleep patterns.
