Open Science Learning Gate

Description

The Open Science Learning Gate (GATE) is a transformative initiative that will support the future of Open Science education. It has been developed to meet the needs of 12 different target groups of the research process practicing Open Science by promoting effective training and harmonising Open Science standards over time.

The GATE asks Open Science trainers to provide their expertise on Open Science principles for specific target groups and visualises principles suggested by other trainers based on majority naming. The collection of the Open Science principles most frequently mentioned by the research community is continuously evaluated and trainers are informed about changes (e.g. changed relevance or emergence of new principles). This allows them to keep their materials and knowledge up to date and to obtain a badge for their materials by aligning them with current Open Science standards. The development of the Open Science principles is published annually in official GATE reports.
